The IHCD is a Special Taxing District formed under Indiana Code IC14-33 The District provides Sanitary sewers for most of the Southwest corner of the Town of Merrillville located in Indiana. Drainage and stormwater issues in the IHCD area are handled by the Merrillville Stormwater District. 

The District is governed by a 5 member Board of Directors. Regular meetings begin at 5:00 PM on the first and third Tuesday of the month at the District office, 8015 Cleveland Pl. Merrillville, IN Office hours 8am-4pm Monday thru Friday
